Even the crispest HD picture available through cable-tv.com doesn’t do Venice the justice it deserves. You need to visit the city in person to really appreciate the heart-stopping beauty of this Italian paradise. Between the unique architecture in Piazza San Marco to the labyrinth of canals and alleyways crisscrossing the city, Venice offers a fairy-tale setting that’s unlike any other place in the world.

Florence, another Italian gem, is known for its artistic heritage. The city, which is flooding with museums and stunning artwork, is an outdoor gallery of Italian Renaissance culture. Standing in the middle of it all is the Duomo, the spectacular Gothic style cathedral church that has graced the skyline for nearly six centuries.

Paris is one of the most majestic and sophisticated cities on the planet. While France’s capital city is home to some of the world’s most distinguishable landmarks, such as the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, you’ll find captivating sights on just about every street corner. Whether it’s indulging in the exquisite French cuisine, strolling through the Tuileries Garden or taking a boat tour of the river Seine, Paris offers a never-ending buffet of art, culture and luxury.

Rome, Italy

Rome is not only a treasure chest of classic architecture, but also a virtual outdoor museum showcasing more than three millennia of human history. Whether it’s time traveling back to the reign of Vespasian on a tour of the Roman Coliseum or admiring Michelangelo’s intricate artwork in the Sistine Chapel, it’s hard to get enough of Rome’s ancient monuments and artwork.

Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and one of the most breathtaking cities in the world. As you walk the Royal Mile, from Holyrood Palace at the bottom to Edinburgh Castle at the top, you may feel like you’re strolling through a 15th century kingdom instead of a 21st century metropolis. Edinburgh Castle, the city’s most recognizable landmark, is rich in beauty and history. This gigantic fortress, which has embellished the skyline for centuries, attracts more than a million tourists annually.
